The Haiti NYI of the Church of the Nazarene received a missions training on the campus of Nazarene Theological Seminary in Port au Prince, on June 6th to 8th 2014. Rev. Scott Armstrong conducted the training.
Fifteen young people attended the training; 3 from La Gonave District, 3 from Southeast District, 4 from Central District, 2 from Low Artibonite District, 2 from North District and 1 from South Central District. From July 11th to 14th, the young people will be working in a Maximum Mission in Thiotte. Local churches supported these young people to cover the costs of the event.
These are the first district in Haiti to receive this training and we hope that other districts will follow its example; training and ministering through Maximum Mission.
“We thank all the superintendents for their cooperation and Rev. Pierre Antoine Jacques, Field Strategy Coordinator, for his financial support and the Mesoamerica Region which supported this project. Continue to pray for the success of this project so that the Lord’s kingdom is announced through this new team of young Haitian – service minded – missionaries. God bless the Haiti NYI. ”
