“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” John 17: 20-21 (NIV)
On Saturday March 28, 2015, the Costa Rica Central District NYI joined together under the slogan and hash tag: # WE ARE ONE NYI. More than 170 young people participated in a day of activities and challenges with one purpose. This first event of the year was led by the new district president Hugo Miranda, who with his team led activities for young people to gather, get to know and live the unity that Christ wants us to live.
In the morning, they had a circuit of 5 activities, where it was essential for each young person to demonstrate their teamwork skills, speed and dexterity. They had about 20 minutes per station to meet the challenges.
In the afternoon, there was a presentation of each NYI and their representatives. Hugo Miranda shared: “It was definitely very uplifting and very encouraging to see the talent we have in the NYI; each member with his/her own characteristics and style. It was an awesome time! ”
They finished the event by giving thanks to God, praying together and placing their lives and youth groups in God’s hand.
“Let’s believe God! Let us be faithful to His calling and trust His faithfulness. You know, God once again surprised us. We did not think we would have such a good outcome, in our first activity. But when we work, pray and our hearts are available to serve and bless others, God delights and surprises us in spectacular forms. The NYI Ministry is God’s heart. NYI has been the driving force of many men and women of God who from their youth were given the right message and enjoyed healthy friendship circles.
God loves us! Let us enjoy and be glad in His blessings. Thank you very much for giving us this opportunity to write and share what God is doing in our NYI. ”
Keep in your heart and prayers the Regional NYI, pray that we can become ONE and through it, the world would believe in Jesus Christ.
