The Costa Rica Central District NYI held the “We Are One” camp from December 18th to the 20th 2015; this was a much-anticipated camp. For six years the district had not held a camp.
NYI district president, Hugo Miranda shared his experience: This was the result of prayer, planning and work by the district staff … Over the past year the work of the CR Central NYI focused on unity, rebuilding ties, reuniting friends and creating new ones. We thank God that we were blessed with more than 140 youth, between leaders, campers and the organizational team. The camp was full of emotions, encounters with the Lord, time alone with the Father that would allow us to focus our lives and enjoy a dynamic life in Christ, realizing the importance of being one.
We had theme nights (retro and neon) where through a creative way, we worship Jesus in the same mind …
The result of this camp is summarized in hearts touched by God, renewed minds and trained to do the work that corresponds to us, a revived leadership that is able to achieve and fulfill the dreams that were born in God’s heart. CR Central NYI is ready for what lies ahead in this 2016; we will do His will, we will leave our 4 walls and go impact a generation that is waiting for us and need us. They need the transforming power of Jesus!
I am thankful for the camp organization team, the district team, cabin leaders, worship leaders, recreation leaders, all exhibitors of the workshop leaders and of course the Lord Jesus Christ, for allowing us to work in His work; just because of his mercy. God surprised us and He is real!
