An 18 person medical team from the Southside Church of the Nazarene, Chesterfield, Virginia, served with the Occidental District of Panama in Bocas del Toro, Chaguinola July 3-6, 2017.
They visited 4 communities in 4 days: Finca 11, Finca 43, La Gloria and Loma Brava. They served the people there through reviewing vital signs, general medicine, nutrition, pharmacy services and visión services. They also share the Word of the Lord.
Approximately 430 people received medical services and the Word of God.
Pastor Javier Charris and Alicia Richards, from the Occidental District NMI, are grateful to the group as well as two people from the Central District who came to help and Eliezel Soto, the Panama Work and Witness Coordinator. This was the first medical team to serve in the Occidental District.
Pastor Charris commented that it was very motivating to see these brothers and sisters working with so much love for the Lord, to see physical healing but more than that to see spiritual healing in the people who invited Christ into their hearts.
“Those who visited the clinic, the leaders and the pastors all saw that Jesus loves us and responds to our prayers. We are praying for this group and as, everyone to pray for the ministry of this church.”
