From September 10th to the 20th 2016, the Family Care Ministry of the Mesoamerica Church of the Nazarene, toured the Mexico Oaxaca and Oaxaca Norponiente districts. They began this time with the pastors of Oaxaca district and superintendent, Rev. Aner Ruiz, and his wife Noemi Ruiz, to whom they gave a course in counseling with tools they can apply in their churches.
Followed, they shared with the families of La Venta Church of the Nazarene in Oaxaca Juchitan. Brother Marcos Santiago, one of the participant said: “… La Venta Church of the Nazarene was pleased to have the presence of our Brother Miguel and Sister Irene Garita, who shared their advise to strengthen marriage and family relationships, and a good relationship with God. The church received the advise with great satisfaction… ”
In the Matias Romero Church, they trained with the topic “Threats to the family”, the Lord spoke in a very special way. After that, they shared with the families of the First Church of the Nazarene in Juchitan with the theme “Daring to look life in our family in a different way.”
They also had the blessing to minister at the first marriages meeting in the newly formed church Etla, Oaxaca, where Brother Joshua Barrena and his wife Leslie Barrera are pastoring. Let’s pray for this new ministry.
They also attended the pastor’s meeting of the Oaxaca Norponiente District along the pastor Elias Betanzos and his wife Mabel Betanzos. It was a time of challenge and change for pastoral couples.
They finished their tour with couples in Xoxo Church in Oaxaca where they had a time of great blessing with pastors Lorenzo Sosa and Naomi Sosa, and Brothers Victor Azcona and Sister Marta Nava, who head the marriage ministry.
Sister Irene Garita said: ” It was a time of great blessing and healing, teaching pastors new tools and ministering to families in the different churches and couple’s events where we saw the Lord’s support as He spoke to the couples. ”
