On November 16 and 17 of 2013, about 400 teenagers attended the Northwestern District Nazarene Camp and Nazarene Mexican Seminary installations in Tecate, Baja California, for the XXII National Youth Bible Quizzing Meeting in Mexico.
Even though the climate was very cold, the climate of love, companionship, and the team spirit of each of the district assistants gave this meeting a very special flavor. Under the direction of Hilda Navarro, National Youth Bible Quizzing Committee director, ten of the 15 Mexican districts participated in the competitions.
After two days of jumping, answering, and laughing, the Southern Border District in Mexico received first place and was crowned National Champion after years of being one of the best representatives in the Bible Quizzing. The South and Oaxaca districts had second and third place.
We want to thank the Northwestern District: their superintendent, Jorge Moncada; their NYI president, Gaby Magaña Ward; the Coordinator of the event, Marco Antonio González; and each one of the teens that was a part of the organizing team, for all their work, effort, and dedication in making this time unforgettable.
All of us assistants really felt at home and we hope to see each other again next year in Oaxaca.
