On Saturday October 17, 2015, it was held at the Dominican Nazarene Seminary, a thanksgiving service to the Lord for the life of the Dominican Republic Central District superintendent, René Acosta Polanco, who went to be with the Lord on October 8th. Mesoamerica Regional Director Dr. Carlos Saenz and his wife, Rosa Saenz, Reverend Edwin Martinez, Regional Literature Coordinator and his wife Any Martinez, Dr. Samuel Perez and the country North, Northeast, South East district superintendents were present, also was present the Panama Central District Superintendent, Reverend Carlos de la Cruz.
Rev. Edilio Balbuena who made a posthumous tribute represented the Advisory Board. Praise did not stop by the Heavenly Vision ministry and the worship team from La Romana.
A video with the Rev. Acosta portrait was presented, where his wife Carmen Checo de Acosta made a special memorial as testimony of her husband’s life.
The service ended with the delivery of a present to Sister Carmen Checo and his daughter Sara Acosta Checo, given by Dr. Carlos Saenz and his wife Mrs. Rosa Saenz.
