Sixty volunteer missionaries from 3 local churches served in Project Paul, an intensive evangelism event, than spanned two Mexican states. From March 2-25, 2018, they served in the southern part of the state of Coahuila and the mountainous part of Nuevo Leon.
The Project Paul team helped in the three churches in the mountainous area: Lampasitos, Canon de Vacas and La Ascension. They also helped the work in the Third and Fourth Churches of the Nazarene in Saltillo. Both of the Saltillo churches have gone a long time without a pastor.
The missionaries organized themselves into teams to evangelize and disciple the most populous neighborhoods in the city. They opened missions in 7 communities: Cerritos, Centro de Saltillo, Paraje de Los Pinos, Santa Luz, Arteaga, El Cono and Colonia Solidaridad. In each of these communities, the team went door to door to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Two hundred fifty people gave their lives to the Lord.
The project closed on March 25 with an evening service in the Saltillo Second Church of the Nazarene. The missionaries shared testimonies during the service of thanksgiving, and the congregation took time to pray for the church planters who have committed to continue serving in the missions and caring for the new believers.
Even in the celebration service more people came to Christ.
Project Paul Coordinator Pastor Manuel Molina said, “We praise God for the bravery and boldness of our brothers and sisters who set aside time to share the Good News in these fields. We also give glory to God for the new converts during these three weeks. All of the glory is for our God.”
