These twenty-one small group discipleship lessons focus on the five discipleship values (Core Principles) of Nazarene Discipleship International (NDI). The lessons can be taught in twenty-one sessions, but each lesson can be used for two or more lessons depending on the group’s needs. The five discipleship values found in these lessons support the overall mission of NDI which is to carry out the Great Commission to children, youth, and adults so they can be better prepared for a lifelong journey of becoming and making Christlike disciples in all the nations.

The purpose of Nazarene Discipleship International is to assist local churches in: reaching non-believers for Jesus, establishing new believers in their faith in Christ, and walking with believers to a fully surrendered, heart-cleansed, fruit-bearing, and Spirit-filled life.

These twenty-one lessons go hand in hand with the new vision of the Church of the Nazarene for making disciples as a Journey of Grace. At its core, this journey is a life of love for God and loving others. Along this journey, we will continually learn new teachings from one another and the Holy Spirit, whether through words of loving encouragement or gentle words of correction, that will enable us to be better disciples.
