The 2 resources of Basic Discipleship Lessons, and its companion book Basic Discipleship Lessons - Additional Resources, have been designed to guide the new believer in their first steps as a disciple of Jesus as they prepare for baptism and then membership in the Church of the Nazarene. Both resources are part of Level B1 (New Life in Christ) and B2 (Keys to the Abundant Life in Christ) of the ABCDE Discipleship Plan.
The Basic Discipleship Lessons contain the lessons that are studied weekly, a guide for the disciple, and a guide for the discipler. The lessons help us learn from the Bible while guiding the new disciple to put each new teaching into practice in his life. The Additional Resources book contains resources to delve more deeply into the topics of study, such as how to do daily devotions, how to read the Bible and learn from it, a dictionary of Christian words, etc.
