More than 60 persons, including evangelism leaders, pastors, district superintendents and partners of the Jesus Film, met for training from February 18th-20th at the Nazarene Seminary in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
During this training, there was a session called “Evangelism with a Passion” where they shared and discussed ideas at round tables; they also learned how to prepare mentors for church planting. These sessions were lead by Milton Gay, regional evangelism coordinator, along with Milton Gerardo and Ernst Jaques.
There was also a session dedicated to listening to the testimonies of the many Haitian lives being transformed because of the Jesus Film, and how it has positively affected their growth. They thanked God for all the new people who joined the faith in 2019.
Reverend Pierre Antoine Jacques, Haiti’s strategy coordinator, received evangelism packets which included: a briefcase containing a tablet with evangelistic films, an evangelistic ball and cube, and an audio Bible among other useful materials for the ministry. They also received books on Evangelism with a Passion as part of the tools. These materials will be distributed to more than 300 leaders who are part of the church planting team including leaders from the Nazarene Youth International (NYI).
Marc Simon, NYI President for Haiti embraced the vision shared by Reverend Milton to empower young people to rise up and be a church planting generation.
Reverend Milton challenged the leaders to continue to spread the glory of God through mentors working with church planting teams in Haiti.
