Approximately 40 youth attended a Creative Evangelism Camp held 21-22 June in Managua, Nicaragua. The event was sponsored by Mesoamerica Nazarene Youth International and challenged the participants to share the Good News in creative ways.
The CEC focused on practical ways for youth to impact their local cities through personal evangelism, evangelism through sports and games, and other evangelism tactics that engage their local communities.
North Central Field NYI Coordinator Odily Díaz said the project is challenging for the Nicaraguan NYI leadership because the country’s current sociopolitical situation makes it difficult to share the gospel in the streets, parks, and other densely populated areas. Díaz also urges people to pray for each leader and youth group in the country.
“We are grateful that the Mesoamerica evangelism initiative has given away evangelism training material to each young person so each local church can build a team that encourages, trains, and goes out to the communities to make disciples,” Díaz said.
