From September 16th to the 18th of this year, in the Dominican Republic, a National Ministries Congress was held, in order to acquire new knowledge and work together towards the 20/20 Vision, for a united and transforming church.
Following the inaugural dinner, the leaders had a time of worship led by the Rev. Miguel Yuden, Lic. Ana Iris Fransua and her district team, who stressed the importance of sincere worship that touches God’s heart. Rev. Felix Polanco, Rev. Samuel Cabrera, and Lic. Ysela Rosa Polanco, presented the first plenary of training with the theme “Disaster Response”.
Before each plenary or workshops, there was a time of praise and worship. On Saturday, the district superintendents and leaders ministered through plenaries.
Rev. Luis Daniel and Lic. Aura Ramirez Perez shared a workshop on “caring for the creation and the influence of the church to have a clean and healthy community”. Rev. Ernesto and Rev. Altagracia Bathermy, taught on the subject of “Community Transformation”. Rev. Benny Sanchez shared on children’s ministry.
Lic. Joel Porras of “VIVA Together for Children”, after analyzing the presentations, motivated them to make an assessment of their current state. Finally, they visualized the future and pledged to work together to improve the situation of the children in the country. As a result of this effort, Pastor Benny Sanchez coordinated a “National Support and Action Team for the Network “Holistic Life for Children and Adolescents”.
Brother Scott Armstrong, from the Genesis ministry and Rolyn Jimenez from the Work and Witness ministry had a time where they shared about how they are working for the Kingdom.
