Keila Yadith Suárez is a Nazarene nurse who was sick with COVID-19. She shares with us her experience and how, being far away from her parents, she was able to see the hand and the care of God in this process.
“Greetings from Chiapas, Mexico. My name is Keila Yadith Suárez. I am the daughter of superintendent Mario Suárez and Lucía Manuel, NMI coordinator for south Mexico.
On April 29th, I was diagnosed as having contracted the COVID-19 virus. I presented all the symptoms – cough, fever, headache – but by the grace of God I am doing well. It was not easy but the hand of God was right there, as my parents could not travel to where I was staying since I am a nurse. Besides, my mother was recovering from salmonella.
But God sent his angels. In the house where I was staying, the three of us were infected and we were isolated but I saw the hand of God because a doctor was there looking after us. Thank God for his mighty hand displayed. He does not leave us nor forsake us. Be encouraged, my brothers and sisters, to trust in our great God, the mighty one of Israel!
We have to take care of ourselves. I am very grateful to God and to his people who were praying and fasting, may God reward you brothers and sisters. And to those who called and sent me messages, many blessings!”
