From March 2nd to the 5th, 2016, ministry coordinators and district superintendents from the Mesoamerica Mexico Field of the Church of the Nazarene got together in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico for a meeting along with some of the regional ministry coordinators
The team met with the intention of carrying out the mission, as Dr. Cordova said: “I hope that these past months have been well used by you and that your ministry has given the fruits that you set out 12 months ago.” A year ago, each leader proposed goals, a commitment to carry forward, a cry in prayer and action for the church’s growth and development.
Ministry coordinators presented their ministries and made themselves available to the districts for training and support. Dr. Cordova said that it was a blessed time with the Holy Spirit’s presence, touching lives at all times by means of praise, meditation on the Word and by the challenges shared by Dr. Daron Brown,: Missionary God, Missionary Church and Missionary Leadership.
There were devotionals where Dr. David Wesley and Dr. Elias Betanzos ministered to them. Both were mightily used by the Holy Spirit. They were led in a time of praise by the of the El Buen Samaritano church ministry.
Some of the discussed themes at the meetings were:
- Development of an analysis of the personal situation in the ministry.
- Be challenged to go forward in the name of Jesus and fulfill our goal.
- Seek the support of others, to join forces and seek the growth of the kingdom of God.
- Dream and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, stating today, not tomorrow.
- Making a united front with evangelism, discipleship, service, compassion and holiness. Be one body in Jesus’ name.
The event ended with a time of commitment, unity for the growth of the Kingdom of God. ,The FSC and each superintendent signed this commitment, with ministry coordinators as witnesses.
“We certainly had a wonderful time together, seeking God’s answer and guidance at all times”
