This morning, June 11, a Nazarene medical team from Mexico began the drive to Guatemala to serve those affected by the eruption of the Volcano of Fire. The all-volunteer team includes doctors, nurses, a psychologist and other volunteers under the direction of Carlos Betanzos.
Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Mexico Coordinator Edi Montejo said, “I invite you to be in prayer that they would have a good trip and that God would protect them and use them as instruments of his glory.”
Brother Rene Rivas is responsible for receiving the group when they arrive in Guatemala, and he reported that the group would likely arrive approximately 8 p.m. local time.
