The Mesoamerica Region of the Church of the Nazarene thanks the Lord for missionaries Darin and Tonya Kucey even as we bid them farewell. The Kuceys served in the region from 2012 to July 26, 2018.

The Kuceys began their service in Costa Rica serving with Nazarene Communications. In 2013 they were assigned as Work and Witness Coordinators in the Haiti Area. From 2015-2016, they received 22 teams that worked on projects at the Nazarene Seminary as well as parsonages, church buildings and schools. From 2016-2017, they received approximately 25 teams, including 5 in a single month in the spring of 2017. During their time in Haiti, the Kuceys oversaw the construction of the chapel factory. At the factory, workers build the base for church buildings and then local congregations have the options to continue building. The factory includes a conference room that is available to other ministries. In the last few months, Tonya offered English classes to some campus employees.

The Kuceys have 3 children. Their son Ryan is 25, graduated from university and lives in Canada. Their son Cory is studying at Olivet Nazarene University and their daughter, Karissa, recently finished high school and is preparing to study at the university level in August.

The Kuceys’ missionary profile is available at: http://www.nazarene.org/mesoamerica/missionary-profile?id=187

Keep the Kucey family in your prayers in this time of transition.
