Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12: 2 (NIV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV).
Many people are marked and trapped by their past, whether the experience was positive or negative. If it was a good experience, they may live a life longing for that past and compare each new experience with the one that was lived, always provoking a frustration, because we constantly want to repeat what was lived, love, work, money, marriage, everything we lost; even lost youth. On the other hand, we may get caught up in a negative situations we experienced, the pain of losing someone, the anguish and fear, guilt, insecurity, anxiety, embarrassment, we feel about something that happened and left us marked in such a way that our present and future are paralyzed due to experienced emotions derived from that past. How sad it is to live like this. The biblical passages presented, gives us the hope of change.
- We must understand that what happened, already happened, it will possibly never return.
- We must not conform to what we lived, but we must renew our mind, which is where our experiences are kept, we must constantly change, to improve.
- The how… it is in Christ that all things can be changed!
May God help you in what you have learned today.
