On February 27th, 2016 at No. 19 Church of the Nazarene, the first district “Inter zone” bible quiz took place. It was a fantastic event. The quiz was organized by the district NYI council who planned, prayed, and worked towards getting everything together.
The zones that competed were the upper corentyne, central corentyne and lower corentyne zone. Local nazarene churches within each zone teamed up and sent representatives to participate in this quiz.
There was a junior and senior category and the quiz was taken from the book of Galatians.
To motivate the youths even more, everyone one of them was given a prize for their achievement and their effort.
In a conversation with the NYI president He said,”It was an amazing event. I admire the team spirit, the effort and excitement of the participants and also their supporters. This is more than just a competition because anyone who study the word of God will gain knowledge and wisdom that no one can take from them and they will be blessed.”
As we continue to do God’s work in this district we hope to have a bigger, better bible quiz next year.
