On March 9th, 2017, the Guatemala Southeast District assembly was held. Once again, General Superintendent Dr. Jerry Porter preached the Word of God and emphasized the importance of multiplying churches and making disciples under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. After listening to the Word of God pastors consecrated themselves to the Lord and committed to the 2020 Vision by planting by faith. for the glory of the Lord, 38 new churches.
Dr. Jerry Porter told the members of the assembly that the work should be based on the love of reaching the unreached and different cultures. He also thanked Rev. Moses Larios for his 6 years leading the district and entrusted him that even in his time of retirement, he can plant a new churches. Finally, after conducting a working session with the District Advisory Council, he appointed Rev. Luis Alberto Marroquín for two years as district superintendent, who along with his wife Iliana Castillo, will have the privilege of leading this district starting April 9tth of this year.
