As part of the closing of the 2015 business, the Guatemala Nazarene Theological Seminary held their Academic Administrative meeting, the Assemblies of the “CCC” and “NTS” Associations and the graduation of 40 students.
The academic administrative meeting was held on Thursday December 3rd with 12 participants, including Theological Education District Directors, Higher Education Institutions Coordinators, members of Boards of Study and District Superintendents, representing the North-Central Field’s four countries. Among the matters discussed were the five-year “Power of One” plan, the curriculum and academic administrative details were also reviewed.
“CCC” and “NTS” held their Assemblies on Friday, December 4th presenting reports for each association. The Guatemala National Administration Assembly also met to receive information from the National Board of Directors and made ministry agreements as a single national body.
As the pinnacle event was the graduation ceremony of 40 students, 13 Postgraduate, 14 with Bachelor’s degree and 13 with Faculty of Theology.
Dr. Ruben Fernandez, Regional Theological Education Coordinator, Dr. Leonel DeLeon, FSC and Dr. Dan Copp, Executive Secretary of the International Board of Education, recognized the seminary and shared a reflective message.
An acknowledgment was alsa made “In Memoriam” of the notorious former student and teacher, pastor and theologian Lic. MA Thomas Ticum, with the presence of his dear mother and his brother Jorge Ticum, who was among the graduates.
