Last weekend the Nazarene Missions International (NMI) Global Council met for their annual meeting in Guatemala City, Guatemala. This was the first year ever to hold the event in a country outside of the USA.
Representatives for NMI from every region as well as global NMI leaders attended the event. The leaders included Philip Weatherill, Global NMI President; Lola Brickey, Global NMI Director; and Dr. Gustavo Crocker, General Superintendent in Jurisdiction. Also present were Dr. Verne Ward, Global Missions Director, various personnel for NMI working from the Global Ministry Center and personnel from the General Superintendents’ office.
The group attended services at the Landivar Church of the Nazarene in Guatemala City. In the evening they shared a meal with the missionaries serving in Guatemala along with two couples who recently retired from the missions field. Some of them shared how NMI has been part of their ministry and how they can continue to help.
