On Friday June 27th and Saturday June 28th, 43 Guatemalan youth leaders met to be trained in leadership matters such as leadership development and youth discipleship. The event was held in the NTS seminary in Guatemala.
The following attended the event: CA-4 Field Strategy Coordinator, Rev. Ulises Solis; Regional NYI coordinator, Rev. Milton Gay and field leaders: Patricia Navas, Zelvin Chacon, who shared about Youth Bible Quiz and Odily Diaz, who led an evaluation and planning meeting with the NYI presidents and Global Mission coordinators.
In 2014, “Flight plan” reached 253 youth leaders in the CA-4 Field. The training topics were taken from the book “Flight Plan” written by Rev. Milton Gay, officially launched in September 2013 at the Regional Advisory Council (RAC) meeting.
Rev. Milton shared the following about the book at that time:
“Flight Plan” was born from God’s yearning in my heart with the vision to guide, train and develop youth leaders … It has to do precisely with getting the youth ministry ready to fly; as a pilot youth leaders learn how to prepare their flight plan, to develop a team, to engage adults, to develop the capacities of members of the youth ministry and guide them to serve God with their gifts and talents.
