On October 10th and 11th of this year, the first Cross Cultural Orientation training for Kids “CCOK” was held at the First Church of the Nazarene in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Fifteen people attended the event representing the North, West and Northwest districts.
The event sought to form leaders who promote passionate love for missions among children through CCOK, which aims to rise a generation of children with focus and sensitivity to missions and a missionary call. It also emphasizes the holistic way of helping others.
After “boarding the boat” with the ” Nazarene Passport “, kids participated in different activities that included a time to answer questions and provide input. They learned songs, played, prayed and heard the message of God through the study of biblical characters like Samuel, Moses, Paul, and others who received the call of the Lord.
The training ended on Saturday, the Global Mission leaders of North Mexico Field, who organized the event, expressed their hope that the new “teachers” do their CCOK in their churches, fields or districts in a successful manner.
Miss Esther Quezada, member of the organizing committee commented: “It was a great joy to do this training because we know that God will touch the hearts of children in the North Field. It is our hope that they respond! Yes Lord, Here I am! ”
