San Pedro Sula, Honduras, was the setting for EXPONAZ 2025, a high-impact event that brought together more than 300 attendees on February 14 and 15 at the Technological University of Honduras. Spiritual leaders from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador representing the Norcentral Area actively participated in this summit aimed at strengthening the church’s mission in the region.
The session began with a challenging message from Norcentral Area Strategy Coordinator, Rev. Carlos Cordero, who declared: “We are good news in a difficult world,” inviting attendees to deepen their commitment to making Christlike disciples and living a Spirit-filled life.
The event featured distinguished speakers, including Strategic Area Coordinators Jorge Córdova (Mexico), Carlos de la Cruz (Mesocentral), Rev. David González, Global JNI Director, Dr. Milton Gay, Regional Evangelism Coordinator and event host, Dr. Ramón Mendoza, global zone leader in Latin America for DCPI, and Dr. Juan Carlos Melo, Latin America Director of the Multiplication Network.
During EXPONAZ 2025, various interdenominational ministries conducted workshops focused on evangelism and discipleship, alongside ministries of the Church of the Nazarene such as NCM, DNI, NMT, NMI, NYI, MM, ASTN, and new ministries in the Norcentral Area, including the Women’s Ministry, led by Rev. Nancy Cordero, and Communications, led by Hugo Lucero.
The impact of the event was reflected in testimonies like that of Edyn García, superintendent of the Central District of Guatemala, who stated: “EXPONAZ 2025 exceeded my expectations. Listening to international speakers deeply challenged us. I was surprised by the relevance of generational evangelism: I always thought of children and youth, but now I recognize the invaluable worth of the elderly in God’s Kingdom.”
Rev. Carlos Cordero summed up the sentiment of the attendees by stating: “I am grateful for this time of fellowship and connection in our mission to be and make disciples.”
EXPONAZ 2025 left a lasting mark as a key event for the expansion of the gospel in the Norcentral Area, reaffirming the church’s commitment to its mission of spiritual transformation and community growth.
