The Dominican Republic North District held their 38th annual assembly on Jan. 17. General Superintendent Dr. David Graves presided over the assembly. He challenged all the pastors, delegates and visitors with a message from the Word of the Lord.
Dr. Graves was accompanied by his wife, Sharon, and Regional Director Dr. Carlos Saenz. Other guests included regional Global Mission and Genesis Coordinator Rev. Scott Armstrong and a team of Genesis missionaries. The Genesis missionaries had a special challenge for the youth to participate in missions.
The district report included new organized churches, preaching points, and members. District Superintendent Rev. Samuel Cabrera presented his report, which highlighted that the district has achieved the requirements for changing from a phase two district to a phase three district. He said that in the coming days they will present the documents necessary to consider the change.
“The time ended in an atmosphere of jubilation and gratefulness to God,” said Rev. Carlos de la Cruz said.
