On Sunday January 24th, 2016, the Dominican Republic Central District assembly was held at the Dominican Nazarene Seminary in Alcarrizos. The assembly went smoothly with a great presence of Nazarenes. Reports were given and they had a special time praising and worshiping the Lord. Rev. Scott Armstrong, represented regional leadership and led the assembly.
A special recognition was given to sister Carmen Checo and her daughter, Sarah Checo Acosta, for the service of the former District Superintendent, Rev. René Acosta, who went to be with the Lord on October 7th, 2015.
Also, Wendy Carolina Escoto Riviera, from the Dominican Republic was formally received as one of the Genesis project missionaries. Rev. Edwin Martinez, Regional Literature Coordinator was also present.
