The Nazarene Bible Institute in Coban, Guatemala, hosted a Creative Evangelism Camp (CEC) led by Mesoamerica Nazarene Youth International (NYI) from April 15-18. NYI leaders led the event as a part of a regional tour. There were 38 participants at the event from 8 different districts in Guatemala.

The purpose of the CEC was to train youth leaders in creative methods of evangelism without losing the essence of the message. They focused on how sports ministry can be used to bring youth to Christ and for discipleship. They also shared a wider perspective of the reality and culture of youth in countries in the Mesoamerica Region where the Church of the Nazarene is present.

The team who led the CEC included: Rev. Milton Gay, Regional NYI Coordinator; Odily Diaz, Luis Flores, Dario Richards, Imran Richards de Barbados, Luz Jimenez, and Otto Barillas. Otto Barillos is a Guatemalan comedian who shared strategies to use humor in evangelism.
