From January 23rd to the 28th, 2016 and for the second year, about 50 people from the Mexico East District and a group of 80 people from the Church of the Nazarene in Indiana, USA gathered to support the work of the Lord in Cozumel, Quintana Roo. In order to preach Christ in the island, clothes were donated, help to vulnerable families was offered, medicine was given out, the Word was preached and ministering to children and evangelistic services were offered.

“RESTAURANDO AMOR”(Restoring Love), a ministry led by Sister Ruby Sánchez Ruiz, specialist in rehabilitation and physical therapy, providing services in rehabilitation and physiotherapy; also supported this event. Sister Ruby initially provided her services on a wooden table, but she received a special a new table through NCM. The vision of the project is to have a Nazarene clinic to serve the community and the church.

Mexico NCM of is supporting to the vision of the East District, led by Br. Joaquín Ocaña, who with his team is reaching places where there was no presence of the church, through the “Maximum Mission” project.

The preaching point in Cozumel is paying off; a few months ago the early converts who meet in a home were baptized.
