On June 28th 2014, under the theme “Restore the Walls”, about 100 young people from 9 churches of the Costa Rica Central District, joined together in order to bless the community Rossiter Carballo, located in the center of the capital of Costa Rica, where the Poder de lo Alto Church of the Nazarene is located.
The local and district leaders previously identified several needs and sought solutions. They presented the challenge to the young people of the district and as a consequence they had an amazing turn out the day of the event.
Some of these activities included were: cleaning the community, planting trees, improving the basketball court and build the roof for children’s playground.
There was house-to-house evangelism; many of the residents of the community opened the doors of their houses. There were reconciliation with the Lord and there were also people who accepted Jesus as their personal Savior. The children’s ministry shared the message of salvation creatively to more than 100 children.
In the afternoon, the event closed with the amazing testimony of Gabriel Salazar (Regional Missionary), which reached many young people in the community.
“Youth Mobilization for the Costa Rica Central District applauded the work of the El Poder de lo Alto Church of the Nazarene. It has been a privilege and now a challenge for the local leaders to initiate the process of discipleship those who were born again.
We encourage all the youth of the region to continue breaking new ground, to make a difference in their cities to extend the Kingdom of God. ”
