On February 6, 2014 the Costa Rica Central District held its District Assembly at the Nazarene Seminary of the Americas. At this assembly, Rev. Mario Vargas Castro was elected as District Superintendent in the 9th electoral ballots.
Mesoamerica Regional Director, Dr. Carlos Sáenz and General Superintendent Rev. Gustavo Croker, presided the act of ordination for pastors Raul Rojas, Sharon Víquez and Rolan Calvo. Their spouses in this very emotional ceremony accompanied them.
It was a very special time when the General Superintendent Dr. Gustavo Crocker encouraged the church to grow and advance. The church’s response to this call was kneeling at the altar, committing to the Lord to continue endeavoring for the church in this district.
