In order to consolidate the newly converted to the gospel, encourage productive leadership and sharing the plan and vision for growth for the Guatemala West District; the Church of the Nazarene in Mazatenango, Suchitepequez, Guatemala, held from July 2nd to the 8th 2015 various activities including the “FAMILY CONQUEST” and the “YOUTH CONQUEST” day.
Over 400 people attended these events. In both services Pastor Ferney Oliveros and Jorge Andres Marin from the Church of the Nazarene House of Prayer, in Cali, Colombia, which currently has about 12,000 members, is one of the largest churches in the country, preached the word of God. Many people received the Lord as Savior during these days.
Also, a public workshop for musicians was conducted by Pastor Herrera Dewy, worship leader of the House of Prayer Church, 55 people from different churches attended the workshop.
On July 7th, the “Alborada”, a cry of prayer that began at 5:00 am and ended at 6:30 am was held. It was followed by a workshop for the leadership . In the afternoon the district pastors heard about the “Master Plan”, a tool for church growth.
The organizer of the event was the brother Mordecai Estrada, who is the Mazatenango Church of the Nazarene administrator. Senior pastors Isaac and Carmelina Estrada and the rest of the pastoral team assisted.
God bless the Guatemala West district. May He continue, guiding and leading them to conquer more and more communities for Christ.
