On February 20th and 23rd, 2017, 50 families from the communities of El Jocote and Cerro la Mina, in the Nicaragua North District, were blessed with the donation of water purification filters. This was a donation made by the Casa Unida Foundation, based in Denver, Colorado, USA, which also has its presence and support in the Nicaragua North District.
The filters were delivered by the president of the foundation, Mr. Robert Moore. Prior to the delivery of the filters, a talk about its use was given.
With the delivery of the filters, a contribution to the well-being of the adults and children who are exposed to illness by consuming contaminated water is expected.
It is worthy to mention that in both communities there is Nazarene presence through two local churches that carry out a holistic ministry, preaching the gospel, living holiness and bringing relief to physical needs.
