From September 11th to 13th 2015, the Evangelism Ministry of Panama’s Central District held a “Maximum Mission” in 3 communities; making an impact through social service and the Word of God. A total of 116 people made decisions for Christ.
The first community to be blessed was “Mañanitas”, where there is no Nazarene presence. The group cut the grass of all the residents, collected trash, conducted a Bible School and presented the “Jesus film “, along with the Jesus Film partners, who together with the team prayed for the people who made their decision for Christ. A new preaching point has been established; a new sunrise has come to “Mañanitas”. Glory be to God!
The next community we visited was in “the region of Wagandi” in Quebrada Cali. The young people painted and cleaned the church, shared a snack with the children and adults in the community and held a Bible School, followed by a presentation of the “Jesus” film translated into the Guna language. More people made decisions for Christ.
On the third day, a united worship service was held,. The message of God’s Word was shared; the Jesus Film partners were presented with gifts and a new church planter was consecrated. Joel Bermudez said: “We give glory to God because through this ministry, the driver of the bus who transported the group accepted the Lord in his heart and a couple reconciled with the Lord.”
In the afternoon of the third day, the group visited the “Bique” community, cleaned a park, prayed for the community, made REMI, and presented the “Jesus” film. Several families accepted the Lord Jesus. There is no Church of the Nazarene in this community. We are expecting the start of something big in this community.
Pastor Amable Polanco, Evangelism Ministry Coordinator, led the activity with the support of Regional Evangelism Coordinator, Dr. Rev. Bernie Slingerland.
