Mesoamerica Central Field Nazarene Missions International hosted 115 participants at its first Congress, Nov. 2-3, at the Dominican Nazarene Seminary. Regional NMI Coordinator Ana Maria Crocker said that these events are part of an NMI strategy to develop leaders in local churches.
District and local leaders from 12 of the 13 districts of the Central Field attended. The countries within the Central Field are: Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
Presenters at the event included: Dr. Gustavo Crocker, General Superintendent for the Church of the Nazarene, who served as the main preacher; Lola Brickey, Global NMI Director; Dr. Luis Carlos Saenz, Mesoamerica Regional Director; Scott and Emily Armstrong, Regional Global Mission Coordinators; Ana Zoila Diaz, Executive Secretary to the Regional Director; Sara Cetino de Diaz, member of the Landivar Church of the Nazarene in Guatemala City; and Dr. Miguel Garita, Regional Family Care Ministry Coordinator. Ana Maria Crocker would like to thank each presenter for accepting the invitation to share this time and for challenging those who attended to be faithful in their service to God.
“I also am grateful to the leaders for taking this time and for being willing to prepare themselves for the challenges presented in the conferences in their respective districts and local churches to MAKE CHRIST-LIKE DISCIPLES IN THE NATIONS,” Ana Maria Crocker closed by noting.
