From January 4th to the 18th, 2017, the Haiti Field of the Mesoamerica Region celebrated its District Assemblies. These began with the celebration of the first assembly of the newly formed Grand-Anse district, which took place in Le Cayes. The Assembly of the South District was held on January 5th and was held in St. Michel. On January 7th, the South Central District Assembly was held in Cayes Jacmel. The three assemblies were under the direction of Rev. Pierre Antoine Jacques and Rev. Israel Acosta.
On January 9th, the Central District assembly was held in Petion Ville. It was a time of blessing where the ordination of 15 people was celebrated: 4 from the Central district, 5 from Grand-Anse, 3 from the South district, 2 from La Gonave and 1 from the Northeast.
The Lower Artibonite district held its assembly in L’Estere on January 10th, followed by the assembly of the Nor-Central district in Gonaives where a person was ordained. On January 12th, the Upper Artibonite district held its assembly in Gros Morne. The following day the assembly of the Northwest district was held in Port de Paix, where the ordination of 2 pastors was held and Rev. Garnier Ennery was elected as superintendent.
On January 14th, in Jean-Rabel, the assembly of the Lower Northeast district was celebrated. The General Superintendent, Rev. Jerry Porter, directed these 6 assemblies.
The third to last assembly was held in Limbe on January 16th, corresponding to the Northeast district. On January 17th, the La Gonave district assembly was held in Etroit. The last assembly was held on January 18th in Bleck, in the Southeast district.
