Fifty four children attended Children’s Missionary Retreat (CMR) in Mexico to learn about and get involved in missions.
This CMR took place at the district campground from July 14-16. It was organized by Mexico´s South Border District Nazarene Missions International (NMI) and led by Adaia Argueta, the district’s Child Ambassadors ministry coordinator.
The children boarded an airplane built by the CMR team, where they traveled through several countries learning about different cultures and about how God calls children.
They also learned about missions from a missionary’s experiences and learned what a Nazarene missionary is and what one does. They were also encouraged to be alert to God’s calling to any area of Christian ministry.
“Seeing the children so interested in sharing the Gospel and being so sure of their faith in Christ filled me with new strength,” said Adaia Argueta.
Shadia Franco, Mexico South Border District NMI President, thanked God as she felt supported by Him in every step of the activity. She also thanked Ana Crocker, regional NMI coordinator, district superintendent Roberto López Fajardo and the whole team, including pastors and the following ministries: NYI, NDI, and Missionary Mobilization, for their great support and work with the children.
“The missionary camp was a great blessing for my life… If I had the chance to direct another children’s missionary camp, I would not hesitate to do so,” said Adaia Argueta.
