The Dominican Republic South District celebrated its annual assembly on Jan. 20 at the main salon in the municipal building in the city of Azua. Dr. David Graves, General Superintendent in Jurisdiction, along with his wife, Sharon, Regional Director Dr. Luis Carlos Saenz, pastors, delegates, missionaries and visitors attended the event.
The event opened with a wonderful time of praise and worship led by the House of Blessing Church of the Nazarene from San Juan De La Maguana. Then Dr. Graves inspired and challenged everyone present with a message from the Word of God. The assembly then moved on to the business portion, led by Dr. Graves. District Superintendent Rev. Luis Daniel Perez gave his report in which he shared the gains from the previous year. He also shared the goals for the upcoming year, including the announcement that the district was ready to move to become a Phase Three District.
The assembly concluded with recognitions for various people and a praise time.
