The West Dominican Republic District met on Friday, Jan. 18, for their 28th annual district assembly in the city of La Romana. A district team led the assembly in prayer and worship, and then leaders were able to share the great advances the church made this year.
The general superintendent in jurisdiction Dr. David W. Graves presided. He challenged everyone present with a message from the Word of God.
Dr. Graves’ wife, Sharon, and Regional Director Dr. Luis Carlos Saenz also attended the assembly.
District Superintendent Rev. Miguel Angel Yuden highlighted significant gains in his report, including: 5 newly organized churches, opening 30 new preaching points, and 5,900 members. Also, the district budget increased 36%.
“One exciting moment was when two new elders were ordained to serve in the church. The grand finale of the assembly came with recognitions, applause and an atmosphere of gratitude,” said Rev. Carlos De La Cruz, the Panama Central District superintendent.
