A group of ministers from the Mesoamerica Region Church of the Nazarene traveled to Cuba on May 23 to offer support to the families and churches suffering as a result of the terrible airplane accident on May 18 in which 10 pastoral couples from the denomination died.
Irene Jimenez de Garita of the Family Care Ministry shared that in this visit they gave psychological first aid to help with recovery. They met with the children and family members of those who passed away and the pastors and members of the different Holguin churches.
She also shared that they saw the pain unite the brothers and sisters from different churches to help and console one another. For the glory of God, there were people who accepted Christ as the Lord and Savior of their lives and others who reconciled with Him.
Thank God for his church in difficult times. Continue in prayer for the families and churches that are suffering after this terrible accident.
