On Saturday, March 4th, 2017, the Dominican Republic Central District held its second spiritual retreat addressed to pastors’ wives and the district’s female leadership. This event took place in the sanctuary of the Admiral Church of the Nazarene led by Mrs. Altagracia Novas, wife of the District Superintendent Rev. Ernesto Bathermy.
Under the theme “Widening Our Territory” women united in favor of the pastoral families and the work their husbands and pastors. They praised the Lord together, prayed, and testified of God’s power. Mrs. Altagracia shared the word of God, based on the story of Zarephath’s widow, she urged women not to be scarce and seek the face of God and know Him as He is. She emphasized not to be scarce when asking in prayer and to serve the Lord with their gifts and talents and in offerings.
