The seventh 4×4 All Terrain missionary trip, took place from December 26, 2016 to January 1, 2017, in Las Pintas, Jalisco, Mexico, with the participation of 20 young people from the South Pacific, East, Central, Northeast and West districts. The young people along with the Genesis missionaries, Natali and Laritza participated in devotions, project Gol, house-to-house evangelism, movies, an art gallery, sketches, jewelry classes, makeup, drawing and Children’s Bible School. Through the activities, the team shared the gospel with 50 children and 105 adults, leaving the Genesis missionaries with a list of 54 names and addresses for follow up.
The team was received by Brother Ángel Ruiz and his son Alejandro, who took care of their well-being. The first day Rev. Leonardo Peralta, District Superintendent, visited, prayed and encouraged them by sharing the Word of God. They also received the support of the NYI District president, Iván Cortés and his family. In addition, Rev. Rodrigo Peña and his wife, pastors of Guadalajara 1st church, which is the mother church of Las Pintas, donated piñatas to share with the children.
Some testimonials from the participants:
“… It was a stressful but blessed week in every aspect of the trip. Days in which we were willing to serve even in the things that we do not like as much, in which we are vulnerable, and God, in His immense goodness, made us messengers of His grace.” -Ariadna Romero
“In this 4×4 I was able to feel how God confirmed my call to missions and to serve the NYI by motivating the kids to seek their call. I was able to feel that the love of God is great for all and that every one of his promises are fulfilled … I am passionate to make known this God who restores, forgives and gives eternal life through the sacrifice of Christ!” -Abraham Barboza
