The “Center of Praise and Proclamation” Church of the Nazarene in the Norponiente District of the State of Oaxaca, Mexico, led by their pastors, Rev. Elias Betanzos and Mabel de Betanzos, celebrated on May 21st, 22nd and 23rd its annual “Family Congress” on the beautiful beaches of the Bays of Huatulco, Mexico. Around 600 people attended. The purpose of this conference was to give families the opportunity to spend some time away from work, school and home, to live and strengthen their ties.
Also during the Congress several conferences were offered with a guest preacher. This year they were privileged to have the presence of Pastor Ruben Hernandez, who promoted the love between spouses, making them reflect on the need to recognize and focus on the virtues that everyone has and pay less attention to flaws or weaknesses. Similarly, young people had time apart where they were challenged to pursue their dreams, seeking help from God at all times.
