A Work & Witness team from the Lower North West Virginia District, USA, composed of 11 people, arrived in Haiti on May 8th, 2015 to finish the construction of a parsonage for Pastor Paul Oulus and his family.
The group worked hard to finish the construction, which they planned to give to the family on May 14th. They started working early in the morning finishing the house, painting the ceiling and manufacturing the furniture; with much support from the local congregation. With God’s help, the house was completed and was delivered to the family with great joy. A stove and propane tank were also provided to Pastor Paul ‘s wife, because she previously cooked with charcoal.
They have a well in the property that was provided by the Haiti Water Project, sponsored by a team from West Virginia. The water from this well is not safe to drink, so this team also provided the family with a water purifier filter.
The leadership and the team shared a special time with the family worshiping the Lord together.
Pastor Paul Oulus and his family now have a new home. Thank God for the work of Darin and Tonya Kucey, Haiti Work & Witness coordinators, for the United States W&W teams serving our region and the local congregation who have participated in the construction of descent housing for Pastor Paul and his family.
