On January 10th I had one of the best experiences in my life, which was to attend the “Third Wave” Costa Rica project, and participate in the San Ramon Maximum Mission.
God blessed my life in this place.I had the opportunity to meet many young Nazarenes from different countries and serve God beside them; God surrounded me with special people in order to bless me.
I learned many things in that place; one of them is that when you pray with faith, God will back you up. I worked evangelizing around the San Ramon area. In each house I visited, in the company of two other leaders, we were well received. When we asked the people if they had any special requests for which they wanted us to pray, they said, “YES, we want to give you our requests because we want you to pray for us”. They were very grateful. It was really a blessing for me to know that people felt the need for prayer and I could pray for them.
God impacted my life in one of the homes we visited. A father with two small children came out to greet us and hear what we had to share with them. At the end he shared his petition and asked for prayer and said:
“wait a moment”. He went inside the house and came out with a paper and said, “Inside the paper there is a love offering I want to give you and thank you very much for blessing me and my family.”It was very powerful to see that a person who didn’t know us would give to the ministry and that God touched his heart to do so.It astounded me.
Besides all of that, working with children was great and impacting for me, there were many children in this place and one of the things that blessed me the most was to see very young children telling the meaning of each of the evangelistic colors, because everyone wanted know more and learn more about them.
During this Maximum Mission, the NYI left an imprint that will allow many adults, young people and children to come to Christ, a mark by which God will answer many of the prayer requests made, a mark that will continue to impact more lives, because the work is NOT finished, it just begun.
Serving God has been the best adventure of my life and every time I serve Him, even in very simple way, I realize that this is what I want to do: SERVE GOD and fulfill his purpose for my life!
