From June 16th to the 23rd 2014, 37 volunteer missionaries from Ohio, United States, visited the town of Somoto, La Carbonera in Nicaragua, where they supported the church there with manpower and funds for the construction of two classrooms, which will be used to give biblical instruction to children and young people. The classrooms will also be used by 4 groups of students of La Carbonera and nearby communities who are doing their high school courses under the auspices of the Education Ministry. The support of this delegation also included the construction of the second phase of the parsonage, they also worked on fencing the entire property. The group also shared biblical teaching with 65 children.
The local church did a farewell that included expressions of gratitude by both parties and the delivery of awards to each member of the delegation.
The group members belong to the New Start and New Life Churches of the Nazarene whose pastors are brothers Greg and Troy McNichols respectively.
