On July 12 of this year, a Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Conference in the Oaxaca District of the Mexico South Field was held. The facilities of Temple Emanuel located in Juchitan, Oaxaca, hosted the ministry leader’s training.
The activity was led by Sister Rosalinda Lopez and Luis and Rita Toledo Vazquez, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Coordinators. They presented a compassionate district project, which seeks to address community needs and generate a social transformation through service and God’s love. In addition, Brother Aner Ruiz Castro, Oaxaca District Superintendent attended the event.
During the time of training, Edi Aroldo Montejo Alvarado, Mexico South Field NCM Coordinator; Elder Joshua Barrera of Nuevo Amanecer Church of the Nazarene in Lagunas, Oaxaca; Maddai González Jiménez, Volunteer Missionary Church of the Nazarene in Mexico, participated.
The topics presented in the training were the history of Nazarene Compassionate Ministry in the Church of the Nazarene; compassion as a lifestyle; missions and compassion; Samaritans in the community and the power of God’s love through service.
