From May 30 to June 1, 2014, fifty people gathered for a Maximum Mission in the east zone of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in order to plant churches in 3 communities.
People heard about the love of God and his son Jesus through personal evangelism. Community outreach was done as we cleaned streets and painted houses. The participants helped repair a house for a needy family, baby clothes and towels were donated to needy people, activities were done with the children and young people in the community. The “Jesus Film” was presented every night as an evangelistic tool.
“Each activity was a blessing to everyone who participated in this Maximum Mission, it was an experience we will never forget. The Jesus Film, NYI, NMI and Global Mission Ministries, Genesis and the National Coordinator, Rene Acosta, came together for this event. We witnessed smiling faces while people listened that God can do everything, misguided people came back to God, while others regained their joy as they accepted Jesus as their savior. All of this and more is what God wants us to continue doing; for people to know Him as the gospel continues to expand.
We thank God for the group of partners that came with our brothers Bernie Slingerland, Regional Evangelism Coordinator and Chuck Watson, Jesus Film Foreign Strategies Director. Their passion and love for the work of God allows us to continue working hard for the people to receive the good news of salvation. ”
